The alliance provides member centers with opportunities to:

–          share information;

–          network;

–          collaborate;

–          educate the public; and

–          develop and share resources.


The services of its member centers strengthen individuals, families, neighborhoods, organizations, public agencies, businesses, schools and the community-at-large.

Organizational Structure

Resolution Virginia (former the Virginia Association for Community Conflict Resolution) is a nonprofit non-stock corporation established as a membership association. Members are drawn from nonprofit community mediation centers in Virginia. The Internal Revenue Service has determined that Resolution Virginia qualifies as an exempt 501c3 organization. VACCR’s IRS Determination Letter was issued on June 10, 2004.


Membership in Resolution Virginia is open to all nonprofit community conflict resolution centers in Virginia that subscribe to the alliance’s membership criteria. Click here to see a list of the current member centers.


Resolution Virginia is a statewide organization member of the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM) and has working relationships with the Virginia Mediation Network and the Department of Dispute Resolution Services at the Supreme Court of Virginia.
